HEY GIRL Goes to Lost Village Festival: An Immersive Experience

Last year HEY GIRL magazine at Lost Village festival –

“If you go down to the woods today…”

You might have found hundreds of raving people, lights flashing, beats echoing everywhere… and you might just have got ‘Lost’ in it! Ha ha :)

Lost Village Festival creates a unique mix of music, art, and adventure. With different “lands”, from abandoned aircrafts in the woods to a disused fairground and ghost train, there are so many areas to discover, each with its own music and vibe… ok, let’s do this.

“HEY GIRL… What’s next? What’s down this path?”

We started walking in just as dusk fell, and the atmosphere of discovery immediately swept over us. “What’s next? What’s down this path? What are those lights down there?” Soon, our inner kids were fully immersed in the festival adventure. The main area was buzzing, alive with sound and energy. We followed a path toward a lake, drawn by lights and the pull of something unknown.

On our HEY GIRL journey of discovery, we stumbled upon a log cabin of funk in the woods, with a DJ inside spinning 70s and 80s tracks. The vibe—colors, fun, and pure carefree energy—was alive in the crowd. Wow, this “cabin of funk” became our favorite spot to check in with for the rest of the festival.

“Wow, this ‘Cabin of Funk’ became our favourite spot.”

On the second day, the wellbeing area was a welcome retreat — ah, rest and peace. We really loved the workshops—breathwork, yoga, and so much more. It was incredibly freeing to be immersed in this energy of peace and love. We would love to see this area grow next year — bigger and more of it, please, Lost Village!

As the last night approached and the feeling of wonder and adventure still lingered, we joined the crowd for Bonobo’s set. The lights were magical, the beats were transportive, and the energy got into your body and soul. This guy knows how to move a crowd, right?

So the live music came to a close, we hopped onto the ghost train carts to chat and reflect. With a cheesy toastie in our hands, we stumbled back to our tents. HEY GIRL magazine at The Lost Village festival adventure may be over, but it’s certainly not forgotten. Here’s to this year, eh!
